Singer/Songwriter
Influenced by the likes of John Mayer, Kurt Cobain, Ruston Kelly and Daniel Johns, US-based artist Kyle Huskey seems to have an appreciation for talented guitarists; and so it should be as he is a talented guitarist himself. With intense intimacy and brutal honesty, Huskey’s songs connect with people on a deeper level. Featured in Music Arena GH, Less Than 1000 Followers, Roadie Music, Send Me Your Ears and Tongue Tied Magazine (to name a few), Huskey is gaining a following on an international scale. The latest addition to his discography is ’Villain’.
Described as powerful, introspective and cathartic, Kyle Huskey has a way of reaching into your heart and sharing strong emotions. Following his 2021 track ‘Most of ALL’, Huskey adopts an acoustic-inspired sound in ‘Villain’. Recorded at his home studio with assistance from Grammy-winning producer Khris Lorenz, ‘Villain’ finds the delicate balance between organic and synthetic. While there is a presentation of acoustic guitar, dynamic electric guitar riffs merge with pounding drums inserting a strong rock flavour into the song. While the melody can have you swaying along to the tune, it is Huskey’s rich vocals that add an intimacy to the track.
Touching on themes of addiction, guilt, pain and anxiety, Kyle Huskey’s ‘Villain’ is a difficult walk down a road of shame but coming out stronger on the other side.
