CEO
Terrance Crowell Jr, known as Tee-C was born in Long Beach, CA. Then eventually moved to Evansville, IN. While in high school, Tee-C began recording music and started doing local shows. Once he graduated high school he knew he wanted to be a full time artist. While Tee-C attended college he released multiple projects and had independent labels interested, he also dabbled in acting as well, where he made an appearance on the 2013 TLC biopic “CRAZYSEXYCOOL.” When those deals fell through for the record deals, Tee-C decided to go behind the scenes as an independent label CEO to navigate his own destiny.
In 2020 Tee-C met artist Siobhan Linnane on IG and the two started working together. Soon afterwards Tee-C signed Siobhan to his Independent label “Groove Child Records”.
In 2022, while attending his artist Siobhan Linnane’s show he noticed something, there was nothing at the show to help any artist reach. There were no media outlets, no sponsors, or decent sized crowd to help build any artist reach, engagement, and buzz. The promotion and booking agencies were not doing their part to help the artists in Tee-C’s opinion. He felt it was only about the money for them. He knew it was a void that needed to be filled in the industry, not just the DFW area. He decide after that to start his own festival, which would be called “UPNEXT FESTIVAL”. Which would showcase all of the up and coming talent, media outlets, brands, and influencers from around the world. He wanted it to be more than just a local festival, he wanted it to be worldwide. On July 29th, 2022 the first annual “UPNEXT FESTIVAL” was launched with over 430 tickets sold the first year without any major artist, sponsors, or endorsements.
Numerous publications around the city lauded up and commended the entrepreneur for his contribution to the music scene in Dallas. There were some critics who gave scathing remarks about the fest and Tee-C, but he didn’t let that stop his passion or brand from building more traction and notoriety from his peers.
With the 2nd annual festival set for July 29th-30th expect “UPNEXT FESTIVAL” to be bigger and better!! With acts such as : Tay Money, SSG Splurge, Lil Eaarl, S3nsi Molly, Freshie, and his own label artist, Siobhan Linnane, this fest is looking like it will be one of the biggest events of the summer!
